Dave's Pump House
When Dave and Destiny built their new house, code required them to add a 5,000 gallon water tank with pump equipment for use by the fire department during a fire. (You know those pictures you keep seeing on TV of the California hillsides burning? Dave's got some close–ups. Real close–ups.)
Last fall we put the valves and equipment on the tank so he could get all the papers signed off and move in. Then it froze, and the expensive pump split in half. This year, Dave built a house for the pump. He'd never built a peaked roof, and I have, so on my way to Arizona I dropped by to eat Destiny's cooking, visit with Dave, and build a roof. All were successful.
