Chilean Mesquite

I was fascinated by the Desert Botanical Gardens in east Phoenix. The combination of Palo Verde (native to the area) and Chilean Mesquite was gorgeous. This Chilean Mesquite was enormous. Imagine a specimen like this, living in such a hostile landscape.
